Title: Free Kirk Pudding

1/4cPlain flour
2tbBreadcrumbs
2tbCornstarch or farola
2tbRaisins
1/8cCaster sugar
3tbShredded suet
1tbMixed peel
1/2tbMixed spice
1/2tsBicarbonate of soda
 pnSalt
  Milk
1/2cCurrants

A dish from the North West Highlands of Scotland. A land of mountains and lochs. A land of legends steeped in history.

Mix all the ingredients together, adding enough milk, gradually, to make a soft mixture. Steam steadily for 2 hours and serve with custard or hot chocolate sauce.
